Have You Heard Of Strength Shoes?

During my basketball playing days I searched for any competitive edge. Marathon jump shooting sessions, hours in the weight room, and dribbling drills were all part of my workout routine.
Skill wise I was ahead of the game but athletically I wasn’t. I was what you call a late boomer. Even though I had a great outside shot my explosiveness was lacking.
In my quest to increase my vertical leap and foot speed I came across a funny looking shoe. A Strength Shoe, they called it. Looked like a tennis shoe mounted on a rubber moulding. Many athletes swore by it. I had to give it a try.
I stuck to the rigorous exercise program developed by the makers of the shoe. Within 3 months I went from touching the backboard to lightly dunking a basketball. I wish I could say I threw down, but that wasn’t the case. Still, my vertical leap improved well over foot.
The idea behind Strength Shoes is the overload principle. Imagine walking around on the balls of your feet with 6 times your body weight strapped on while doing complex plyometric drills, jumping rope, and playing basketball.
These shoes improved my game in a big way. I wound up having a nice high school career and was blessed to receive a basketball scholarship to a junior college.
Why do I share my Strength Shoes experience with you? Because I know of many athletes in my audience who seek to increase their speed and agility and probably haven’t heard of the Strength Shoe.
Will you be able to throw down like Lebron James? Probably not, but if I can improve my vertical by over a foot you can experience dramatic results too.
Am I selling this product? No. The idea of writing about Strength Shoes came to mind as we enter basketball season.
If you seek to develop explosiveness supplement your resistance training with plyometrics. If you want to jump through the roof while dramatically increasing foot speed try the Strength Shoes.
Happy Hopping!
