How To Eradicate A Povery Consciousness

“Man is what he thinks all day long.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
The economy is bad and we think about losing money.
The stock market drops and we think about dwindling investments.
The idea of a poverty consciousness is a lie. We feel that our financial situation is dependent upon outside conditions. This mindset dictates that outside conditions rule our financial well-being.
The truth is that the Universe is the source of our supply. The inside world rules the outside world. Every single thing which you own has its source in the One Creative Power. God is the Source of all things visible and invisible.
The money in your pocket originated in Source. It may have travelled to you through different channels; your job, stock investments, social security, a gift from someone, finding it on the street, a contest prize. All of these are avenues to wealth. They should not be confused with the source.
Those with a poverty consciousness mistakenly identify the channels with the source and become attached to these avenues.
“If I lose my job I will become poor.”
If I don’t win the lottery I will stay poor. ”
“I will be retiring when I am 80 years old because my 401K is doing so horribly.”
“I have to work another part-time job because I’ve just retired and social security isn’t going to cut it.”
The more that we focus on the avenues to wealth the fewer avenues we will have access to. The possibilities are limited instead of limitless.
Observe a wealthy person. They establish multiple avenues through which wealth can travel to them. They have rejected a poverty consciousness and replaced it with a prosperity consciousness.
Concentrate on the source and more channels will open up for you. Every thing has moved into your life along certain lines. The common thread is that these lines originated in Source.
If God is to prosper you must believe that God is the Source. It’s one thing to say it and another to believe it.
You may be surrounded with doom and gloom but if you focus on the Infinite you will never know lack.
Lose these false ideas and meditate upon the Truth. Wealth.
