These Twitter Tips Are Too Tweet

Tweet Content, Not Commercials

Who looks forward to commercials on TV? OK, other than during the Super Bowl? Each tweet should be useful. Provide value, become valuable. Post fresh tweets daily. It’s OK to recycle tweets but make sure to post new material. Diversify. You may be master of a niche but it never hurts to branch out of your network. Tweet about whatever makes your heart sing. I focus on cash gifting, inspirational quotes, health and fitness, and internet marketing. I’ve met plenty of like-minded people and many others with varying interests.

On a side note don’t be concerned with making your tweets retweetable. Some do this by keeping their posts to 120 tweets. My goal on twitter is not to get RT’ed, it’s to post from my heart. If your tweets make an impression you will get a serious following no matter how many of your tweets are RT’ed.

Retweets Are Sweet

Everybody has a sweet tooth; who doesn’t like a retweet? It’s the ultimate twitter compliment. Giving someone some space in your stream says that you value what they have to say. You’ll make more friends by RT’ing their work than by doing anything else on twitter.

Skip The Auto DM’s

Upon meeting a person offline what’s the first thing that you do: introduce yourself or throw a business card at them? An auto direct message is just as disingenuous. I’ve never clicked on a DM that didn’t have my name on it. Actually I’ve never clicked on a DM that is a pitch. Why would I want to buy something from a rude person? I guarantee that there is a pleasant person who’s offering the same product or service. I’ll wait for them to introduce themselves.

Tweet Talk

Everybody appreciates a good conversation. Engaging someone builds a relationship. I’ve met some great cash gifting buddies on twitter. They trusted me and decided to offer the blessing of a cash gift for which I am grateful. I’ve also offered them a stream of prosperity because they are now receiving gifts as I have. Win-Win!

Send Thank You Tweets To Every RT’er And Mention

If someone takes the time to RT your tweet or mention you, return the favor. Check your @reply tab every 5-10 minutes. Include as many followers as possible in a tweet so that your stream isn’t clogged with TY tweets. You also want to introduce yourself to some individuals by sending a personalized @reply.
